Join the world of chairside implant placement—one of the largest areas of growth—with CEREC®

The American Academy of Implant Dentistry reports that an estimated two out of three Americans have one or more missing teeth, and the number of patients receiving implants is growing by half a million each year.
According to emerging markets and technologies market research company Technavio, the global dental implants market will surpass $4 billion by 2020, driven by four factors:
· The rise in the population of edentulous individuals
· The increased use of CAD/CAM technology
· The growing adoption of evidence-based dentistry
· Greater demand for oral care
Additionally, advances in CAD/CAM technology have allowed the customization of implants according to the patient’s oral anatomy, and supports their correct placement for less invasive procedures and shorter recovery periods.
Single-visit implants with CEREC
With CEREC by your side, you can place high-quality implants with customized abutments or with screw-retained crowns in a single visit. The process is just as easy as with conventional restorations: After taking a digital impression of the implant using the CEREC Omnicam camera, the abutment and crown are designed using the CEREC software in a single step. The final or temporary restoration is then milled in the CEREC milling unit and is ready to be seated.
The CEREC guided implant workflow—Scan, Plan, Place, and Restore
Guided implants with CEREC takes the guesswork out of the procedure, as it not only guides you through each step, but it also provides you with a surgical guide for precise and efficient implant placement.
Scan: First, optically scan the situation, then design the crown and import the prosthetic proposal into the Galileos implant software. Plan: Plan the implant in the Galileos implant software based on the prosthetic data and a 3D X-ray image. Finally, import the planning data into the CEREC software and create a surgical guide with a depth-stop tailored to the selected implant and positioned for a precise fit. Place: The implant is securely and easily placed in a minimally invasive procedure using the surgical guide. Restore: Use the CEREC software to plan and design the abutment and crown that you can immediately produce with the CEREC MC X or MC XL milling unit and insert precisely in your own practice.
Fast, cost-effective, and advantageous from a practice-building perspective
CEREC guided implants eliminate the need for physical impressions, stone models, and a second patient appointment, as the implant is placed and the prostheses are produced and seated in a single visit. Costs are reduced as well, as there is no production cost associated with the surgical guide when milled in-house—you only pay for the material block from which it is milled. Lastly, integrated implant placement expands your treatment offerings to existing patients, and also helps attract and retain new patients looking for this invaluable service.
